Lady Aurora Wintergrasp

Finally, it is done. One of my long time projects which never should become something like that. It started all with a simple graphite pencil concept art and grew up to my biggest digital picture so far.

It shows Lady Aurora Wintergrasp, my OC Unicorn Jarlessa of Winters Hold, an old keep lying in the deep frozen mountainside far to the north of Equestria. She is a proud embittered aged Lady. With her husband dead due to an assault of Timber Wolfes, she reigns the northern province Angardh beneath the Icemane Mountains with an Iron Hoof. She has a daughter about the age of the Mane6 named Snowdrift.
She believes nopony will help the North Ponies with their problems and sorrows and lays the blame of her husbands death on Celestia herself.
She and her family is inspired by House Stark from a "Song of Ice and Fire".
I will do more work for her, her family and House Wintergrasps compagnions in the future.

She is made completely in Gimp2 with the graphite drawing as a base. No, I don't use a graphic tablet ^.^ She is entirely handmade, every single texture, her hair, the fur, everything consists of many different layers drawn by myself.
The background is a play with different blur effects and some simple color layers. I don't wanted to use a foto, picture or something. I wanted to match it with the drawing style of her.
